National Reclaimation of Raynham LLC, Raynham, Mass., has submitted an application to build a transfer station at the site of the Raynham dog track, according to a report in the Enterprise (Brockton, Mass.).
The application was received by the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on July 7, according to the report.
The proposed 30,000-square-foot facility would process 1,000 tons of construction and demolition and municipal solid waste per day, according to the Enterprise.
The National Reclaimation facility would be the second transfer station in town, in addition to a Waste Management operation that processes 900 tons of material per day.
