Two notable industry economists have been added to the speaker lineup of C&D World 2015. Ed Sullivan, chief economist at Portland Cement Association, based in Washington, and Joe Picard, chief economist for Washington-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), are now part of the program for the annual meeting of the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA), scheduled for March 29–31 at Nashville’s Music City Convention Center.
As a keynote speaker, Sullivan will be presenting an economic forecast for the construction industry. The keynote session, scheduled for the afternoon of March 29, is sponsored by General Kinematics, Crystal Lake, Illinois. Sullivan is noted for his accurate predictions and absorbing presentation of complex economic indicators that will help attendees better prepare their businesses for the future, the CDRA says.
Picard, a prominent expert on metal industry trends, will be part of the end markets panel on the morning of Monday, March 30, that will discuss recycled scrap’s future, as well as a look at the recycled wood markets, according to the CDRA.
C&D World 2015, celebrating its 21st show, says it will feature the largest exhibit floor devoted to the C&D industry.
