Progressive Design Concepts Adds Project Consultant

Progressive Design Concepts and Midwest Recycling Service and Sales, based in Fort Wayne, Ind., have added Patrick Nicol as a project consultant to the companies’ sales team.

Nicol’s has extensive experience in the engineering and operations of recycling plants, having most recently worked with Machinex Industries of Plessisville, Quebec. His experience is centered around the design of single-stream recycling systems as well as mixed C&D recovery plants.

“Patrick’s experience will assist Progressive in servicing our customers, both operators and manufacturers, in these sectors,” Jim Merrick, president of both firms, says.

“One of Mr. Nicol’s initial undertakings will be to continue to develop and introduce the high-performing eddy current separator we unveiled earlier this spring at a major MRF in the Midwest,” Merrick adds.

“The industry is at a turning  point; many manufacturers need a reliable partner to help in system installation, while many operators are looking for someone to help analyze system efficiency,” Nicol says. “At the same time, Progressive has developed a very unique and valuable eddy current separator that I’m excited to introduce to more of the industry”.

Progressive Design Concepts was established in 1996, with roots dating back to 1983. Along with its sister company Midwest Recycling Service and Sales LLC, the company provides system installation and start-up, maintenance, system design and analysis for operators and offers a range of equipment and compliance testing services for companies in the waste and recycling industry.
