Precision Husky Makes International Sale

Company sells three units to Scandanavian customers.

Precision Husky Corp., an equipment manufacturer based in Moody, Ala., recently shipped its largest whole tree chipper powered by a 1050-horsepower diesel engine, along with two horizontal grinders powered by 860- and 500-horsepower diesel engines, to customers in Scandinavia.

Bob Smith, chairman and CEO of the corporation says, “A few years ago you could measure our international business with a fraction of 1 percent. Today, Precision enjoys approximately 50 percent of its total volume from international sales.”

He adds, “The international market seems to be coming out of recession faster than the domestic market.”

Precision has been manufacturing chippers for the forest products industry for almost half a century, and ships them to more than 40 countries.
