Powerscreen Introduces Screening Plant

Horizon 5163 is designed produce up to 600 tons of specification products per hour.

Powerscreen, Louisville, Ky., has introduced the Horizon 5163 precision scalping and screening plant, which is designed to handle materials up to 10 inches and can produce up to 600 tons of specification products (such as for concrete and road building/paving) with materials such as crushed and recycled concrete, asphalt, coal and iron ore.

The unit can also be used in closed-circuit primary, secondary and tertiary crushing setups to achieve high tonnages of fine-sized product meeting strict specifications.

The 5163 is a smaller, more economical version of the 800-ton-per-hour Horizon 6203.

The triple shaft mechanism creates an aggressive screening action and can be adjusted to give a range of amplitudes and G-forces. The operator can easily change the rate of material flow over the screen—faster for higher tonnages or slower for increased screening action and cleaner end products with materials that are harder to separate.
