Pizzagalli Construction Co., headquartered in South Burlington, Vt., has announced plans to change its name to PC Construction Co. The change will go into effect June 1, 2011.
According to a release, the renaming comes as the company’s founding brothers have become less involved with the company on a daily basis. The founders have divested their ownership, allowing the company to become 100 percent employee owned in 2009. This announcement also coincides with the company’s move to a new corporate headquarters in South Burlington, VT.
“Internally, we’ve been referring to ourselves as ‘PC’ for decades, starting even with our trademark corporate logo,” says Peter Bernhardt, president of PC Construction Co. “Our new name carries on that tradition, while respecting our founders’ wishes to put the company’s future into the capable hands of its seasoned leaders and employee-owners.”
PC Construction specializes in general construction, construction management and design/build services for public and private clients.
PC Construction also operates regional offices in Portland, Maine and Garner, N.C.
