Since 1995 Peterson high-speed horizontal recyclers have used a unique patented impact release system. This system is still the only practical contamination rejection system available on horizontal grinders since it can significantly reduce potential damage from grinding contaminated materials.
Now, a new optional Peterson impact release system works even better in contaminated material. The new release system ejects uncrushable material and then re-latches for non-stop grinding. A deflector grate and chain curtain downstream of the grinding chamber redirect and absorb the energy of the ejected contaminated material. The adjustable release system can be set to suit the specific grinding job - releasing only when appropriate. A pinned rotor is also available with this option for quick hammer replacement, as are heavy duty grates and grate supports.
This system is particularly suitable when processing demanding materials such as railroad tie grinding and volume reduction of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). Peterson specializes in developing delivery and processing equipment that turns low-grade organic materials into high value products. Peterson machines are operating in over 20 countries in the world. For more details see www.petersoncorp.com.
