PalFleet Truck Equipment has appointed Bruce Helmeid the general manager of its Nashville, Tenn., facility. Helmeid brings more than 15 years of in-depth industry experience to PalFleet.
"Bruce's experience developing chassis pools and OEM relationships as well his overall industry experience make him a valuable addition to our leadership team," says Ed Clowdus, vice president of operations at PalFleet.
PalFleet's Nashville location includes chassis pools for Ford, GMC/Chevrolet, Ram and Freightliner.
"Nashville's central location makes it an important part of PalFleet's overall business model," says Clowdus. "Bruce's leadership combined with the strength of the team in place here should be very good for our customers."
PalFleet Truck Equipment was formed in 2010 by the merger of Fontaine Truck Equipment Co., Omaha Standard Truck Equipment Co. and Tiffin Loader Crane following the 2008 acquisition of Omaha Standard Inc. by Palfinger, based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The company operates truck equipment distribution locations in nine markets in the Southeast and Midwest. The company sells, installs and services products for Palfinger, Omaha Standard, Palfinger American Roll-Off and MBB Palfinger as well as other truck equipment and body manufacturers.
