Lennart Brelin has been appointed president of the consolidated Americas region for Austria-based Palfinger AG and will report to Palfinger’s executive board from his office in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Palfinger’s North America business remains led by Vice President Mark Woody, while its South America business is led by Vice President Ingo Erhardt, each of whom will report to Brelin moving forward.
Brelin, who has an MBA , is described by Palfinger has having “extensive market insight and industry experience in both business regions for more than 20 years.” The company says he is “uniquely qualified to successfully grow our business in the Americas region while adding great value to our brand and ultimately to our customers.”
Palfinger designs and builds lifting and material handling systems for commercial vehicles and maritime operations worldwide. The company, founded in 1932 in Austria, says it has more than 9,000 employees worldwide and comprises 68 companies within 25 countries.
