Paladin Brands Announces Consolidation of Companies

Paladin Light Construction and Paladin Heavy Construction combine to form Paladin Construction Group.

Paladin Brands has announced the joining of its Paladin Light Construction and Paladin Heavy Construction companies to form the Dexter, Mich.-based Paladin Construction Group. The new company “can better address the attachment trends that are being driven by contractors and farmers serving a wide variety of construction, agriculture and related market segments in North America and globally,” according to the new company.

Paladin Construction Group will provide customers with eight leading brands of couplers and attachments, including Bradco, JRB, Sweepster, C&P, CustomWorks, FFC, Harley and McMillen.

Hundreds of couplers and attachments for all makes and models of skid steers, wheel loaders, excavators, tractor-loader backhoes and tractors are now available through one company with more than 2,000 dealers and rental locations, the company says. Paladin Construction Group has manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Dexter, Mich.; Akron, Ohio; Delhi, Iowa; and Ooltewah, Tenn. Additional inventories are placed throughout North America, the company says.

“The strategic decision to combine the two companies will certainly create efficiencies, but more importantly, our sales channels and end users are looking to benefit from a larger attachment manufacturer with broader attachment lines,” explains Michael Flannery, VP and GM of the new Paladin Construction Group. “We can offer far greater value in ROI-driven engineered products, strong field sales and knowledgeable product support, and a long-term buying decision comfort level.”

As part of the effort to announce the new Paladin Construction Group, the company has implemented a long-term, contractor-focused support program named Back 2 Work With Paladin. The program’s goal is to help contractors capitalize and profit from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act and its $143.4 billion infrastructure investment.

The two-year Program helps contractors and dealer/rental companies identify and locate projects that are or will be released in the near future related to where the ARRA funds are most targeted—at the county level and specific market segments such as roads and bridges, aviation, national parks, energy, water and others.

In addition, Paladin Construction Group is offering contractors a break on new attachment costs with a contractor rebate worth up to $500 when they purchase one or more Paladin brand attachments during the first part of 2010.

The Back 2 Work With Paladin program was officially launched in October 2009 and will extend through the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show in March 2011. A special ARRA-focused by market Web site, www.back2work.com, has been created for contractors that explains the program and how they can benefit.
