A new online program will soon be available to help contractors in Wisconsin keep track of recycling efforts at their construction, demolition and remodeling projects.
A grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has helped fund the program, which is being developed by WasteCap Wisconsin and the Solid and Hazardous Waste Education Center (SHWEC).
“This online program will make it easier for contractors to see the results of their recycling efforts,” says Jenna Kunde of WasteCap Wisconsin. “Plus, it will allow us to make conclusions and suggestions for how the state can move forward and achieve better results in construction waste management.”
The program will be discussed at WasteCap Wisconsin’s latest Talk & Tour: “The Future of Documenting Recycling Efforts.” The Talk & Tour will also discuss the recycling project underway at St. Anthony’s Parish, one of the Jansen Group’s seven local projects participating in the online program’s testing stages.
The Talk & Tour will take place Thursday, July 27, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Parish in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
