Northshore Manufacturing, Two Harbors, Minn., has made available a new model of BuiltriteTM-brand orange peel grapple designed to tackle large-scale applications.
The company’s newest four-tine grapple has a capacity of up to two cubic yards. “With the addition of this two yard behemoth, seven model sizes are now available from the smallest to largest material handlers for both scrap and waste handling applications,” the company has announced in a news release.
The new product’s key features, according to the company, include:
• a low upper head profile that allows more vertical reach for higher stacking
• a wide opening that allows for cleaning out the corners of truck bodies and rail cars
• H
igh-tensile steel used throughout such as wear resistant AR 500 steel used on all spade tips for excellent durability
• an oversized, hardened cylinder and pivot pins
• well-shrouded, high-pressure cylinders
• 360-degree continuous rotation, with heavy duty motor, bearing and hydraulic swivel using dual motors
• easily accessible yet well-protected zerk-style grease fittings
• three spade options (narrow, medium and wide) to address many applications.
