North Shore Manufacturing Announces Appointments

Company expands staff, facility.

Two Harbors, Minn,-based North Shore Manufacturing, makers of Builtrite material handlers, truck-mounted cranes and attachments for the scrap, waste, railroad and general construction markets, is expanding its facility.

 

Approximately 29,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space is being added to accommodate increased market demand for the company’s products. Included in the expansion will be a state-of-the-art painting facility, a new assembly area and additional room for CNC machining centers and the future addition of robotic welding centers.

 

Along with the expansion, several new employees have been added in newly created key positions, including:

Kausch

  • Scott Anderson joins the company as chief financial officer. He was previously employeed by W.P. Mars and Co., Duluth,Minn., and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis and is a certified management accountant.
  • Uwe Kausch joins the company as marketing and international sales manager. Kausch was previously with Stanley LaBounty of Two Harbors. He is responsible for North Shore’s marketing efforts and for developing overseas business opportunities. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.

  • Ean Kuhlmey joins North Shore as Midwestern regional sales manager. He held a similar position with Maurer Manufacturing, Spencer, Iowa, most recently and holds an associate's degree from Laje Superior College in Duluth.
  • Srini Palaniappan has been appointed to the post of industrial/operations engineer. He worked for Stanley LaBounty previously and is responsible for all lean manufacturing and process improvement projects within the company. Palaniappan holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Anna University in Chennai, South India, and a master’s in industrial/operations engineering from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Mich.
