A construction debris landfill in Wendell County, N.C., has been permitted to expand, according to a report in the News & Observer (Raleigh, N.C.).
The Shotwell Landfill had been limited to 1 million cubic yards of construction and demolition debris. According to the report, the county commissioners have approved changes allowing the landfill’s capacity to expand to 9 million cubic yards.
