New Hampshire C&D Recycling Facility Plans Expansion

Plans for three-phase expansion project to go before town planning board.

A privately owned New Hampshire C&D recycling facility has proposed an expansion plan that would increase daily capacity from 300 tons to 1,500 tons, according to a report in the Concord Monitor (Concord, N.H.).

Stanley and Peter Emanuel, owners of the Bow Recycling Center in Bow, N.H., will present their expansion plan to the town planning board on Dec. 20.

The center processes C&D debris, other recyclable material and solid waste.

According to the report, if approved, the construction would take place in three phases. A first phase would involve the construction of a new 12,000-square-foot processing building and a new internal access road.

The second phase would include a new maintenance building and truck scale. The third phase of construction would include a 28,000-square-foot addition to the existing recycling and transfer building, additional roadway and a new processing area for wood, metal and construction material.

The zoning board approved the plan in March.
