Ash Grove Cement Co., headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., has acquired a new import terminal facility from Goldendale Aluminum in Portland, Ore., which will allow for an increase in cement supply to the Pacific Northwest, according to a report in the Daily Journal of Commerce (Coos Bay, Ore.).
According to the report, the acquisition will allow the company to increase its annual supply to the region by up to 800,000 tons of cement.
The Goldendale facility is scheduled to open in September.
