The Northeast Recycling Council (NERC), Brattleboro, Vermont, in collaboration with the environmental consulting firm DSM Environmental Services Inc., Windsor, Vermont, has been awarded a contract from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) to conduct a construction and demolition (C&D) market study.
The study will evaluate the current and future status of C&D management in Massachusetts and will recommend potential options for the diversion of a greater proportion of recyclable materials in fines and residuals to recycling markets. The study is anticipated to be completed in January 2017.
