The National Demolition Association, Pennsylvania, has announced it is accepting entries for the 2019 Excellence in Demolition Awards.
The awards are the industry’s prestigious recognition program, NDA says. The program recognizes NDA members who have demonstrated significant achievement, environmental conservation and community involvement in the completion of a demolition project in 2017-2018.
The awards are divided into categories based on project size. The categories are: less than $500,000; $500,000 to $2 million; and more than $2 million.
Applicants will receive a poster display at NDA’s annual convention. The top three submissions in each award category will be published in an associated industry publication and featured in a video shown at the awards banquet. Winners will receive their award on stage during the banquet.
In the past, awards have been presented annually to companies that have made a significant "quality of life" impact on their community. NDA members are recognized for their leadership and innovation in “green” development and for efforts to better their local and regional environment, NDA says.
Any public or private project is eligible to qualify. Projects are eligible even if environmental work is not their central mission. Applicants are encouraged to submit more than one project for consideration.
Interested parties can enter online here before the Oct. 19 deadline. The winners will be recognized at NDA's annual Convention and Exposition March 22-25 in Colorado.
