The ballpark received 34 points toward LEED certification for green design elements, including:
- Using recycled materials in 20 percent of the ballparkās construction and recycling 5,500 tons of construction debris.
- Placing 100 recycling bins for fan use throughout the ballpark.
- Using air-cooled chillers instead of water-cooled chillers to save 6 million gallons of water per year.
- Using high efficiency field lighting, which will save 21 percent over typical field lighting.
HOK Sport was the design firm for the project. More information is available online at www.hoksport.com.
