National Gypsum Recognizes Supplier of the Year

National Gypsum Co. (NGC), headquartered in Charlotte. N.C., has selected Buckman Laboratories as its supplier of the year.

Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., Buckman earned the award for its work with National Gypsum’s Pryor, Okla., paper plant, according to a release from National Gypsum.

Buckman supplies the Pryor plant with chemicals used in the paper production process. The paper is used on the front and back sides of gypsum wallboard.

“The quality of our paper is critical in the overall performance of our wallboard product,” says Ray Syracuse, director of purchasing for NGC.

Buckman is the first NGC Supplier of the Year selected through the company’s new vendor rating system, earning a 95.53 percent rating.
