The National Demolition Association (NDA) is hosting an informational meeting and get-together in mid-September in Detroit and a panel discussion and bocce ball competition later in the month in Wickliffe, Ohio, near Cleveland.
NDA's Michigan Chapter will convene Sept. 17 at the boardroom in Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit for a roundtable discussion and networking event. The venue is the home of the Detroit Red Wings and Pistons.
The discussion will focus on Michigan's Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA) and will be followed by a networking social hour. The event, sponsored by Illinois-based insurance firm Gallagher, is free but space is limited. Those wishing to attend can register through an online form by Sept. 12.
On Sept. 25, the NDA Ohio Chapter will hold its September Meeting at the Club Molisani Charities hall in Wickliffe, Ohio, about 15 miles east of Cleveland.
At the Ohio Chapter meeting, a panel discussion will focus on an as yet unspecified topic and will be followed by lunch and then the chance for attendees to play the bocce lawn bowling game.
The chapter has set a price of $100 for NDA members and $200 for nonmembers. The September meeting has attracted at least two sponsors: New York-based engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti and global engineering firm Intertek PSI. Registration information can be found on an online form.
