In a blog on the National Demolition Association (NDA) website, NDA President Jeff Kroeker of Fresno, California-based Kroeker Inc. Demolition & Recycling, announced the board of directors of the Doylestown, Pennsylvania-based association has chosen SmithBucklin Corp., with offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., as its new management company.
“As part of our strategic planning efforts, the National Demolition Association board of directors is looking to the future and has been exploring management options to best support us as we continue to evolve and grow. We are committed to increasing membership, enhancing our products and services and increasing our profile in the demolition community,” Kroeker writes in the blog.
SmithBucklin is an association management and professional services company that services more than 320 professional societies, trade associations and other nonprofit organizations. “This will provide us access to staff members who are familiar and comfortable with our type of industry and field, and who have developed and implemented successful strategies for other not-for-profit organizations,” continues Kroeker.
Kroeker notes the change was precipitated by NDA Executive Director Mike Taylor’s decision to retire. He writes, “We cannot thank Mike enough for his 25-year commitment to the success of NDA and our members. We wish Mike and his family all the best as they begin this new chapter. In addition, we thank the Doylestown staff including Director of Member Services Kim Wieland, and Managers of Membership and Meetings Laura Huestis and Pegi Boyne. We greatly appreciate their years of dedicated service.”
According to Kroeker, the transition to SmithBucklin is underway and will be completed by the end of 2014. Contact information for the new location will be shared at a later date.
