The National Asphalt Pavement Association is co-sponsoring a conference this fall that addresses the asphalt industry. The conference, Paving Greener with Asphalt Conference, is being co-sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration. It will be held Nov. 17-18, 2010 in Denver.
The conference will focus on a range of developments in the asphalt industry, including sustainable pavements, recycling and warm mix. Speakers will include contractors, researchers, and agency officials who have first-hand experience and knowledge on the topics presented.
The conference is designed for contractors and their partners looking for ways to compete in a greener environment, and to assist plant operators and paving contractors in their environmental and occupational health compliance obligations. DOT and agency personnel can learn more about how pavement sustainability measures might be used to help them make environmentally preferable pavement choices.
