Name Change Possible for NADC

Demolition association looks to change name and logo, expand focus.

Saying that “to continue to grow and prosper it needs to attract new members,” the National Association of Demolition Contractors (NADC) is considering a slight name change to the National Demolition Association. A new logo may also be in the works.

A letter has been sent to members asking them to vote on the potential changes. According to that letter, among the target groups for the NADC’s membership expansion would be “companies involved with the recycling and reuse of the industry’s waste stream, such as scrap dealers, salvage companies and C&D recycling firms.”

In addition, the letter says, “We would strive to attract scrap dealers that belong to ISRI and C&D recyclers that belong to the CMRA”

In the letter, the association assures its members that it “would continue to represent the interest of demolition contractors while expanding its search for other entities involved in the demolition process.”
