A Brentwood, N.H.-based collection agency has faced mixed opinions on its proposed demolition processing and recycling centers, according to a report in the Laconia Citizen (Laconia, N.H.).
Bestway Disposal Services went before three members of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) June 7 at a public hearing for the proposed 6,400-square-foot facility.
Archie St. Hilaire, Bestway’s owner, tells the Citizen that his company already has approval from the town to build the garage and office, but is awaiting state approval for the rest of the facility, including a building for the separation of demolition debris and a drop-off center for household recyclables.
Some residents have expressed concern because the location of the proposed facility would be over the town’s aquifer, according to the report.
