Mustang Manufacturing Co., Owatonna, Minn., has introduced a zero-tail swing compact excavator model to its selection of 10 compact excavators—the 3803ZT.
The zero-tail swing design eliminates rear overhang and provides increased maneuverability and visibility to the operator, and the new model also features a side-mounted engine and rear-mounted hydraulic and fuel tanks.
Other features of the 3803ZT include:
· Standard SAE/ISO pattern control valve, which allows operators to change the pilot controls between a backhoe or excavator pattern without tools.
· Automatic swing break, which locks the upper structure in position when the engine is turned off to avoid movement of the upper structure during transport.
· Sealed track rollers, which are designed to reduce friction and noise between the tracks and rollers.
· Long arm standard equipment.
· Optional 330-pound factory installed counterweight.
