Mustang Manufacturing Inc., Owatonna, Minn., has introduced a new line of skid steers and compact excavators.
The Mustang 2066, 2076 and 2086 model skid-steer loaders offer SAE-rated operating loads of 2,000, 2,200 and 2,600 pounds, respectively. All three models have a selection of control options and Cummins Tier II diesel engines.
The 2066 will replace the 2064, and the 2076 will replace the 2074. The 2086, with 2,600- pound rated capacity, is Mustang’s first model in this size range.
Each model in the new skid steer-line has a redesigned operator’s compartment with fixed top and rear windows, side-mounted instrument panels, a suspension seat and a tilt-back operator cab, among other features.
Mustang has also introduced four compact excavator models—the 5003ZT, 6003, 7503ZT and 8003.
The new excavators will replace former models 5002, 6002 and 8002. Model 7503ZT is new to the Mustang product line.
Models 5003ZT and 7503ZT have a “zero-tail-swing” design, while models 6003 and 8003 have a short-tail design.
As with all Mustang compact excavator units, the boom systems on these models consist of one piece of steel vs. two pieces welded together. Pivot points on the boom system have been built with replaceable bushings.
