Morbark Inc., Winn, Mich., has introduced the model 1600 tub grinder, capable of processing landfill material, mixed debris and large, chunky wood.
The hammermill is nearly 6 feet in length, and the base diameter measures 11 feet, 2 inches with a tub capacity of 20 cubic yards.
It can be fed by using a 13-yard bucket, and the belt on the discharge system measures 60 inches wide.
The grinder uses the Morbark Iqan system, which allows the operator to quickly adjust feed systems from the control panel.
The 1600 has five replaceable wear plates covering 360 degrees of the tub floor, which are easily unbolted, removed and replaced when worn.
The 1600 is suited for storm recovery and large volume mulch and biomass fuel producers, according to a press release from Morbark.
