The machine offers a 20-inch capacity and has a drum and feed wheel both 28 ½ inches wide. The six knife pockets allow three full cuts per revolution, which increases chipping efficiency.
The Typhoon is available with 250 or 235 horsepower options. It is equipped with a 4-inch by 8-inch center beam and a 66 ½ -inch by 40 ½ -inch infeed shoot, designed so the chipper can accept a wider variety of materials and be fed with auxiliary loading equipment.
The machine also has a redesigned pivot, which eliminates the yoke swing and increases down pressure efficiently, according to the manufacturer.
The unit comes with a 2 ½ lunet ring, 20,000-pound tandem axle suspension along with heavy-duty 3/8-inch chains and clasp hooks to secure the Typhoon 20 for efficient towing.
