A construction worker’s family has garnered thousands of dollars on GoFundMe for him after he was run over and seriously injured on the job.
According to the GoFundMe page, Daniel Clark Jr. was run over by a service truck while he was performing electrical service along the freeway in a construction zone April 5 in Troy, Michigan. The driver of the service truck was backing up and did not see Clark, knocking him over and pinning him beneath the wheels.
Clark was taken to the hospital with broken ribs, a broken pelvis, collapsed lungs and internal bleeding, his GoFundMe says. He was put on life support in the intensive care unit and has since had multiple surgeries. Doctors expect him to be in the hospital “for at … least weeks,” his family says.
This was Clark’s first week back at work after the winter season. He is a single father of three.
The family has since been able to raise $36,870 for Clark, surpassing the $30,000 goal. Visit Clark’s GoFundMe page here.
