The Material Handling Education Foundation’s (MHEFI) board of directors has announced its picks for two foundation awards.
The Reed-Apple Award has been presented to John M. Hill, former president and member of the board of directors of the MHEFI. The award recognizes Hill’s work in material handling and logistics education, according to Material Handing Industry of America (MHIA) board of governor’s member James Allred.
The Reed-Apple award was named for material handling educators Jim Apple Sr. and Rudy Reed.
In addition, the Norman L. Cahners Award has been presented to John B. Nofsinger, the CEO of MHIA. Nofsinger also holds seats on a number of association boards including the board of governors and executive committee of the Material Handling Industry and the board of directors of the MHIA.
This award was established in 1990 in honor of Norman L. Cahners, founder of the “Palletier,” the predecessor of Modern Materials Handling magazine.
