Metso Hosts Open House at Ohio Facility

Metso Minerals hosted an open house for scrap metal recycling customers at its new Medina, Ohio, manufacturing facility on Oct. 15-16.

Attendees were able to see a Lindemann LIS scrap shear in operation, a BEST container loading system and a demonstration of the company’s repair/refurbishing service for rotors used in automotive shredders.

The new facility has a crane capacity of 80 tons and expected to double the capacity of Metso Minerals Industries’ Ohio operations. It is located near the company’s existing engineering and manufacturing facility in Brunswick, Ohio.

The expansion is part of the company’s ongoing effort to be the preferred supplier of precision-engineered equipment and systems for North America’s metal recycling industry.
