A Waste Management of Massachusetts Inc. site in Springfield, Mass., has met state requirements for addressing an odor problem and has resumed accepting construction and demolition debris, according to a report in the Republican (Springfield, Mass.).
The state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) barred the company from accepting thousands of tons of C&D debris in November after receiving complaints from nearby businesses and office buildings of gaseous odors and reports of nausea, headaches and vomiting, according to the report.
