The Westfield, Mass., Planning Board has recommended an ordinance to the City Council that would give the city more control over local construction and demolition recycling operations, according to a report in the Republican (Springfield, Mass.).
According to the report, the proposed ordinance is a response to residents’ complaints that local facilities are being “inconsiderate” neighbors and that the city should be able to exercise more control over what materials are being processed, by who and at what time the work is being done.
