Masaba introduces new portable crusher

Aggregates processing and material handling equipment maker Masaba Inc., Vermillion, South Dakota, has introduced its portable C125 crushing plant.

Masaba Marketing Specialist Steve Nelson says the plant is designed for efficient transportation and can be customized to fit specific operational needs.

The C125 features a grizzly hopper module that hydraulically lifts off the wide-flange-beam chassis for travel. Hydraulic legs allow the hopper module to be transported on a low-boy trailer without the use of a crane. The hopper is built from ¾-inch abrasion-resistant steel and comes with hydraulic folding wings to maximize feed capacity, says Nelson.

Masaba Inc. is an aggregate and mining machinery manufacturer started by Harold Higman Sr., who founded Higman Sand and Gravel in Akron, Iowa, in 1939. Higman designed much of his own equipment and his son, Harold Higman Jr., officially formed Masaba in 1962. The company moved to its present manufacturing location in Vermillion, South Dakota, in 2005.
