Management Changes at Flexco

Company’s executive VP steps up to take the place of retiring president and CEO.

 

The Flexible Steel Lacing Co., Downers Grove, Ill., has announced that Richard A. White will succeed retiring President and CEO Jerry Paulson, who had served since 1990.

 

White was previously the company’s executive vice president. He joined Flexco in 1986 as the company’s first marketing manager. Since being named vice president in 2001, he has directed Flexco’s business development activities, which include international sales and operations, corporate finance, product development and marketing responsibilities.

 

Flexco has also announced that Thomas S. Wujek, former vice president of sales and operations, has been named chief operating officer and executive vice president.

Wujek had served as vice president of sales and operations since 2004, responsible for Flexco’s U.S.-based manufacturing faculties in Downers Grove, Ill., and Grand Rapids, Mich. He joined Flexco in 1992 and has served as quality assurance manager, field sales representative and sales and operations manager.

 

Paulson joined Flexco in 1967, initially serving as shop office manager. He progressed through financial and corporate secretary posts during the 1970s before being named treasurer in 1984. In 1986 he was named vice president of finance and administration and a corporate director. One year later, he was named Flexco’s vice president of sales and marketing. In 1989, he was appointed executive vice president.

 

Flexco services belt conveyors through subsidiaries operating in California, Michigan, Mexico, England, Germany, Australia and South Africa. The company also markets  line a products through a network of distributors under the brand names Flexco, Alligator, Clipper and Tatch-A-Cleat.
