Commercial Paving Co., Scarborough, Maine, has its origins in paving and roadbuilding, as its name implies.
But in a profile written for the Sept./Oct. 2003 issue of C&D Recycler, the company’s leaders relate how concrete and asphalt recycling have become an increasingly important part of the Commercial Paving’s business.
In addition to the profile of this Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA) member, the Sept./Oct. issue includes several other features, including a Wood Recycling Focus written by Leo Larochelle of New Hampshire CMRA member company ERRCO. Larochelle’s focus describes the various end markets and processing techniques available to wood recyclers.
In an Equipment Report feature, the ways recyclers and demolition contractors use mobile material handling equipment (wheel loaders, skid steers and hydraulic cranes) are examined. The story’s sources offer their views on which machines are best suited for the daily applications encountered by C&D recyclers and demolition contractors.
Also in the Sept./Oct. issue, C&D Recycler associate publisher William Turley collects comments from several sources with timely information on industry attempts to incorporate more recycled aggregates into approved specified materials lists at the state and federal levels.
These features in addition to the regular news and products departments can all be found in the Sept./Oct. 2003 issue of C&D Recycler, which will hit readers’ desks in mid-September.
