Newport News, Virginia-based Liebherr USA says it will display multiple machines at the the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) 2026 Convention and Expo in Las Vegas April 13-16.
The United States business unit of the European equipment maker says models on display will include the LH 60 M Industry E material handler and the L 550 XPower wheel loader.
Regarding the electric-powered LH 60 M, Liebherr says electric material handlers have set a new standard for sustainability in the industry.
“With their powerful electric motor, they can work with power from a variety of sources,” states the company. “In addition to stationary use, various cable variants and a battery-powered version allow for more flexibility on site. The machine not only reduces the noise pollution and emissions during operation, but it also lowers energy and service costs.”
The LH 60 M has been E designed for the heavy-duty material handling required in metal recycling operations, says Liebherr, adding it features 65-foot reach is equipped with the company’s patented ERC energy recovery system.
Liebherr describes its L 550 XPower wheel loader as a high-performance model that can handle a wide range of materials including scrap metal. “With strong lift arm variants and application-specific attachments, they are versatile and universally deployable,” states Liebherr.
The company calls the ReMA Convention the largest gathering of recycled materials industry professionals in the world, saying more than 7,000 individuals may attend “to discover the latest technology and network with other recycling and scrap professionals.”
Liebherr describes itself as offering specialized machines for the metals recycling market with features including piston rod protection, cab safety grids and safety glass designed to increase safety on site for operators and those in the surrounding area.
