Liebherr Construction Equipment Co. has introduced its first minimal tail-swing excavator to the U.S. market. The R 924 Compact Swing was introduced at the 2007 World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas.
The machine has a swing radius of less than 6 feet and a reach of 32 feet, 10 inches. It has a dump height of more than 28 feet.
The operator’s cab has oversize windows to provide the operator with an unobstructed panoramic view of the work area. Automatic climate control is standard, and sensors continuously monitor the temperature settings to ensure operator comfort.
The machine is powered by a 164-hp, four-cylinder diesel engine.
