Lane Construction Acquires White Brothers

Company is focused on growing its business in the Northeast.

The Lane Construction Corp., headquartered in Cheshire, Ct., has acquired White Brothers Inc., a Maine-based company. The Lane Construction Corp. was founded around 120 years ago, while White Brokers has been in business for more than 50 years.

"The Lane family welcomes Tim, Mike and the 50 employees of White Brothers, Inc.," says Scott Leach, Lane's regional VP for the Northeast region. "This is a great fit for both companies because we share many of the same values, especially an unwavering commitment to excellence, ethics and our employees. Additionally, Lane and White Brothers have solid reputations with their customers and the communities where they operate."

Lane builds highways, bridges and airport systems for public and private owners throughout Maine.

With the acquisition of White Brothers, Lane will employ more than 500 people during the construction season. The company operates more than 12 facilities throughout north and central Maine.
