Lakeshore Recycling Systems announces acquisition of Landfill Reduction and Recycling Inc.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS), Morton Grove, Illinois, announced on Dec. 1 that it has acquired Landfill Reduction and Recycling Inc., an Appleton, Wisconsin-based provider of construction and demolition (C&D) recycling services.

Financial terms were not disclosed, and the acquisition is effective immediately.

Incorporated in 2011, Landfill Reduction and Recycling has been a recycler of residential and commercial construction, demolition and renovation materials from across the state of Wisconsin, including the cities of Appleton, Green Bay, Oshkosh, Wisconsin Dells, Madison, Milwaukee, Stevens Point and Wausau. The company recycles mixed loads containing wood, drywall, shingles, pallets, concrete, rock and brick.

Operating in Wisconsin as Badgerland Disposal, LRS already serves the waste and recycling needs of thousands of residential and commercial customers. The acquisition will help the company bolster its client base within the state.
