Lafarge has completed the purchase of Western Sand and Gravel Inc., Aux Sable Stone LLC, Utica Stone Inc. and Conco Western Stone Inc., all located in the greater Chicago area and North Central Illinois.
The acquired operations consist of one aggregate mine, two quarries, two sand and gravel facilities and a dock on the Illinois River. The businesses will be consolidated into Lafarge’s existing aggregate operations in Chicago.
Larfarge is a supplier of construction materials in the United States and Canada. Its materials are used for residential, commercial, institutional and public works construction. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lafarge S.A.
