Komptech Displayed Crambo Shredder at U.S. Composting Council Show

At the U.S. Composting Council Show in Oakland, Calif., Feb. 9-12, 2008, Komptech displayed its Crambo shredder.

Komptech demonstrated the Crambo 6000 shredder on Demo Day on Feb. 12, on the grounds of Grover Landscaping in Modesto. The Crambo 6000 used only 15 gallons of diesel fuel per hour, according to the manufacturer.

The Crambo is a slow-running high-torque design, which boosts efficiency, while reducing noise and dust. The compactness of the Crambo also garnered positive interest, the company adds.

Komptech manufactures mobile and stationary equipment for the treatment of solid waste and biomass, including shredding, screening, separation and composting technology. Komptech USA Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Komptech GmbH, headquartered in Austria.
