Keestrack, with U.S. headquarters in Krum, Texas, presented its diesel electric B3e jaw crusher, a hybrid variant of its model deployed on building sites and recycling, at Matexpo in Belgium Sept. 11 to 15.
The crusher is 3 feet by 2 feet in width and is designed to process 300 tons per hour due to gap widths of 45 to 170 millimeters that can be adjusted hydraulically, the patented nonstop system with overload protection and wear monitoring.
The diesel electric Keestrack B3e has a similar crusher than its predecessor. The vibrating primary screen and tracks drive are all diesel-hydraulically driven, and Keestrack’s own load-sensing hydraulic control is made to create low consumption rates of the 160-kilowatt Volvo diesel engine. A 42.5 kilo-volt-ampere on-board generator supplies the power.
When driving a subsequently connected electrical screening unit (e.g. the Keestrack K2e) or a stockpile conveyor, the system is designed with 4 to 5 liters increased consumption in compound operations.
