John Deere Performance Handbook Now Available

John Deere Construction & Forestry Co., Moline, Ill., has announced that the 2005/2006 Edition Deere Performance Handbook and CD-ROM package is now available.

The 2005/2006 edition includes the latest equipment specifications for all current John Deere construction machines.

In addition to specs for excavators, articulated dump trucks, dozers, wheel and crawler loaders, backhoes and skid steers, the Performance Handbook includes formulas to estimate a customer’s owning and operating costs. The handbook also provides machine production estimating information for excavators, articulated dump trucks, wheel loaders and dozers. The production estimator gives cubic-yard estimates for various materials, a feature that is useful when specifying large machines.

The CD is an electronic version of the handbook with the addition of interactive production estimators and owning and operating cost estimators.

The Performance Handbook is available at any John Deere Construction & Forestry dealer. The CD-ROM requires MS Windows, a Web browser, Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher and Excel 2000 or greater software.
