John Deere Introduces New Equipment

New products include crawler dozer, crawler loader and line of dump trucks.

John Deere, Moline, Ill., has introduced several pieces of equipment to its product offerings.

First, the company has introduced the 1050J Crawler Dozer, which delivers more productivity and uptime than its predecessor. The model retains the customer-driven features of its predecessor, including the hydrostatic drive train, the Auto-Trac system that keeps the machine tracking straight in forward or reverse and the heavy duty undercarriage. Improvements include a more powerful engine and an improved operator’s station, according to a news release from the manufacturer.

The Tier III, 12-liter, six-cylinder engine with a wet sleeve design provides 335 net horsepower at 1,600 rpm. The slow engine speed provides long life, lower fuel consumption and low noise levels. The operator’s station features large access doors with easy entry and exit, a 15-degree angled seat two footrests and left and rear windows. In addition, a new 11.5 cubic yard, 159-inch wide semi-universal blade is designed to enhance productivity and uptime. Improved blade curvature enhances loading and increases production, while clipped corners allow the operator to see when the blade is fully loaded, allowing the operators to spend less time in the cut.

John Deere has also introduced a crawler loader, the 755D. This loader is powered by a Tier III, 6.8-liter, six-cylinder John Deere 6068H engine, which produces 181 hp at 1,800 rpm. This loader also features improvements to the operator’s station, including large access doors that are four inches wider than those on the previous model. Operator comfort is further enhanced by increased airflow and defrosting from 10 adjustable airflow vents and dual-sided sliding windows.

With 101 inches of track on the ground, the machine is one of the most maneuverable in its class, according to the manufacturer. A 100-inch side, 3.14-cubic yard bucket is standard, with a 2.62 cubic yard bucket available as an option.

The company has also introduced a line of articulated dump trucks. Four models are available—the 250D, 300D, 350D and 400D.

The 350D and 400D articulated dump trucks are powered by Mercedes Benz OM501LA, 12-liter V6 engines that have been updated to meet Tier III emissions standards. The 250D and 300D feature a Tier III-certified John Deere 6090 PowerTech Plus I6 engine with 24-valve cylinder head.

The transmission has been updated on all four models. The transmission controller features improved shift quality and clutch control.
