Jeffrey Lee Richmond Sr., president of the Roadtec Inc. division of Chattanooga-based Astec Industries Inc., died at age 60 in late June 2016. According to an obituary from The Chattanoogan newspaper, Richmond “died surrounded by his wife and sons, while on a family vacation in Charleston, South Carolina.”
The obituary indicates Richmond had been employed with Roadtec for 20 years, having served as president of the company since April 2004. “Jeff thoroughly enjoyed his career and considered Roadtec his second family,” says The Chattanoogan. Roadtec makes asphalt paving and recycling equipment.
