Iron Hustler Excavating Wins Crushing Bid

Company will crush concrete from former International Harvester site in Canton, Ill.

The Canton City Council (Canton, Ill.) has awarded a bid to Peoria, Ill.-based Iron Hustler Excavating to remove and crush concrete at the old International Harvester site, according to a report in the Canton Daily Ledger.

 

About 12 acres of 10-inch-thick concrete remain at the site, amounting to about 33,000 tons. Iron Hustler will crush it to a CA-6 grade for use as an aggregate road base, according to the report.
