IRock Crushers, a mobile and portable crushing and screening equipment maker based in Valley View, Ohio, has added Michael Millies to its staff as director of operations.
Millies joins the company with nearly 15 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry. That tenure includes having been at screening equipment producer McCloskey International, where he led a multidivisional commercial team to effectively drive strategic initiatives to further foster corporate growth, according to IRock.
Prior to that, Millies worked for construction equipment maker Komatsu, where he continuously gained increasing levels of responsibility growing from warehousing and logistics roles to global account management to gain a deeper understanding of the manufacturing discipline, IRock adds.
“Being a part of IRock is an exciting new chapter of my career,” Millies says. “Getting involved with an organization that is agile to customer needs, prioritizes partnerships and aftermarket support, and then always doing what is right directly aligns with my personal values.
“This is how I know IRock is the right home. I passionately believe these characteristics along with the caliber and charisma of our team members will propel the company to new heights.“
Millies will be responsible for the overall direction and strategic growth within all areas of IRock operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, facilities management, and environment, health and safety (EHS).
Additionally, Millies will be responsible for ensuring the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of IRock’s operations while working toward meeting corporate objectives that will further enhance IRock's long-term growth and profitability.
“The IRock team is elated to welcome Mike as director of operations,” IRock General Manager Chris Larson says. “His past tenure at major global manufacturers afforded Mike the ability to gain key operations-related experience with the prospect of applying these proficiencies to IRock’s strategic initiatives.
“Mike is extremely well-rounded professionally and exhibits strong core competencies within finance and commercial aspects alike, but what most excites me is how well he aligns personally with our existing team, our core values, and corporate principles. He possesses the ambition required to undertake his new responsibilities and coupled with his extensive knowledge and experience, he will contribute greatly to our continued growth.“
