Insurance Office of America (IOA) and Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company, have formed an alliance to provide advocacy services to their customers and prospects.
Under the new relationship, Hewitt will offer personalized employee benefits assistance to members of the IOA network.
Services that Hewitt Advocates will provide IOA network members include:
• Helping employees better understand and access available company benefits;
• Resolving heath care billing and insurance claim disputes;
• Providing information regarding treatment options, specialists and prescription drugs;
• Helping employees locate doctors and hospitals;
• Helping employees understand their diagnosis and obtain medication and treatment by medical professionals;
• Explaining additional coverage options, such as Medicare; and
• Facilitating second opinions when necessary.
“Medical procedures and protocols can be complicated and confusing to employees, and navigating the insurance and benefits red tape can be time-consuming and frustrating without experienced and knowledgeable help,” says Andrea Armstrong, Hewitt’s Business Development Director for Point Solutions. “We are excited about our new relationship with IOA and our ability to bring these important and much needed services to more companies and employees.”
